Will Sergeant's alter ego, Dr Gertrude Glossip, was created for the Uranian Society, Adelaide's forum for gay men's culture, in 1993. She has led Rainbow History walks at every Feast Festival since its inception in 1997. Gertrude is an Adelaide boutique icon who is often invited to present at occasions which require erudition and flair. Gertrude is celebrating her 30th anniversary this year and can truly claim to be a Pearly Queen.
