Front Cover Art Commission
Each year, Feast Festival invites a queer artist to create the artwork that becomes the visual identity of our festival.
Featured across our printed program, posters, digital campaigns, social media, and festival branding, the Front Cover Commission is an opportunity to create a work that captures the spirit of Feast and reaches audiences across South Australia and beyond.
For 2026, we’re looking for artwork inspired by this year’s theme:

About the Theme
Joy is… an act of rebellion
In a world that often asks queer people to shrink, justify themselves, or survive quietly, choosing joy is powerful. This year, Feast Festival is celebrating joy as something deeply meaningful, a form of resistance, self-expression, connection, and care. We invite artists to respond to the theme in their own unique way. Your interpretation of joy might be loud or quiet, tender or playful, political and powerful – or all of these things at once.
We’re looking for artwork that feels authentic, emotionally resonant, and reflective of the diverse experiences of LGBTQIASB+ communities.
