The Big 5-O: Activism Then and Now

In 1975 South Australia became the first state to decriminalise homosexuality. The Big Five-O brings together elders who’ll address the political context in which decriminalisation occurred and the role of feminist, anti-war, First Nations, and trade union activism in shaping that landscape. The panel discussion will be followed by a light lunch and then a hands-on ‘crafting activism’ session where you’ll get to ‘paint a patch’ inspired by the stories shared. This event is supported by a Grant for Seniors from the Office for Ageing Well.
