Queens of the Dead

Directed by Tina Romero, daughter of horror legend George A. Romero, Queens of the Dead is a fierce, glitter-soaked zombie comedy starring Margaret Cho, Cheyenne Jackson, Nina West and Dominique Jackson. Club promoter Dre (Katy O’Brian) is preparing for a big warehouse party but everything is going wrong. Performer Yasmine (Jackson) has bailed for a promotion with straight influencers, Sam (Jaquel Spivey) has stage fright and no longer performs) and the back-up dancers are wildly unprofessional. When the apocalypse hits mid-show and the undead crash the party, these queens must shantay, slay, and serve survival realness...in full glam, of course.

Romero fuses her father's undead legacy with a bold, camp sensibility, delivering a queer horror-comedy that’s as full of heart as it is entrails. With a killer soundtrack, fierce costumes, and over-the-top gore, Queens of the Dead pays homage to both classic zombie films and queer culture, while poking fun at both along the way.
Whether you are a horror buff or a lover of queer comedy (did we mention this stars Margaret Cho?), this film is a riotous, raunchy delight.
