Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky

Get ready to shiver with antici...pation as we celebrate the AQFF closing with a Rocky party night and the Australian premiere of Strange Journey: The Story of Rocky Horror.

No one could have predicted the legacy of Rocky Horror when it first opened in 1975.

To celebrate its 50th anniversary, creator Richard O’Brien reunites with stars Tim Curry, Susan Sarandon, and Patricia Quinn, along with iconic fans such as Trixie Mattel. Directed by Linus O’Brien (son of the show’s creator, Richard), Strange Journey explores how the film came to life and considers its very queer legacy.

This is a love letter to a film that has been embraced by outcasts for five decades now.
