Wandering Tales: Home Comings

Mid North Arts

Join us at the historic Burra Townhall for an evening of heartfelt, hilarious and unexpected stories about finding chosen family, building community and creating a place to call home.

Hosted by the (very) award-winning storyteller, theatre maker and comedian Yoz Mensch, Home Comings features commissioned stories from local LGBTQIA+ storytellers alongside a welcoming open mic where anyone is invited to share a story, song or reading inspired by the theme.

Whether you grew up in the country, found your way here later in life, or have always been searching for somewhere you truly belong, these are stories of connection, courage, joy and the many ways queer people have found, and continue to make, the country their home.

Part of a suite of offerings in Burra over the weekend of November. Come up Friday night for Yoz Mensch’s (very) award-winning play, My Grandpa Doesn’t Follow Me On Instagram and stay for the Feast Long Lunch at the Railway Station and Wandering Tales.
