Tenx9 at Feast Festival

Tenx9

Tenx9 is a live storytelling event where nine people each have up to ten minutes to share a true story from their own life inspired by a shared theme.

For this special event, the theme is Joy. Expect an evening of heartfelt, surprising, funny and deeply human stories as ordinary people step up to the microphone to share moments of delight, connection, celebration and unexpected happiness. Every story is true, every storyteller is different, and no two stories are ever the same.

Come along and experience the laughter, reflection and sense of community that make Tenx9 such a unique storytelling experience.

About the presenter: Tenx9

2017 saw Tenx9 begin in Adelaide. It all began when Dani came to Belfast for six weeks and stayed two years. When she came back to visit, the Tenx9 lads convinced her to get on stage to tell her most embarrassing story.

Back in Adelaide, Dani met Mel, and together they hatched a plan to start their own tenx9! Then Ben joined in, who’s known the Belfast tenx9 crew for ever and a day. And the rest, as they say, is history and lots of amazing true stories, told on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people where stories have been shared for over 40, 000 years. What a privilege to stand on this land and share stories together!

Feast Festival acknowledges that we gather, create and celebrate on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise First Nations peoples as the original storytellers, artists and custodians of this land.
We honour and respect queer First Nations communities, including Sistagirls and Brothaboys, and recognise the enduring connection between culture, identity, community and Country.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
