Family Day @ City Libraries

Feast Festival & City of Adelaide Libraries

Pridevember opens with a story-led afternoon for rainbow families and little ones. A guest author reads aloud, with a craft and colouring station running alongside for hands that need something to do. Low-key, low-stimulation and built for wriggling. Bring the kids, bring the grandparents, and start the festival the gentle way.

Image Description: A drag performer in bold makeup, a painted moustache and beard, and a sheer floral pink jacket reads The ABCs of Queer History aloud at Picnic in the Park. A stack of children's picture books sits on their lap.

Feast Festival acknowledges that we gather, create and celebrate on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise First Nations peoples as the original storytellers, artists and custodians of this land.
We honour and respect queer First Nations communities, including Sistagirls and Brothaboys, and recognise the enduring connection between culture, identity, community and Country.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
