About the presenter: SunSLAY Drag

Imogen Ation (Benjamin Johnson) is the creator and producer of SunSLAY Drag, an Adelaide-based drag entertainment company that has been producing events since 2023. Passionate about creating opportunities for local performers, Imogen has developed SunSLAY into a platform that celebrates drag queens, drag kings and all things between with community-focused productions.

Since launching, SunSLAY has presented performances across Adelaide Fringe, Feast Festival, and independent events throughout South Australia, showcasing a diverse range of talent while creating engaging and accessible experiences for audiences. Imogen's vision has always been to provide both emerging and established performers with opportunities to shine, collaborate, and grow within the local arts and LGBTQIA+ communities.

In 2026, SunSLAY received an Adelaide Fringe Weekly Award, recognising the company's commitment to high-quality entertainment and its contribution to Adelaide's vibrant festival culture. Under Imogen's leadership, SunSLAY continues to expand its reach through new productions, themed cabaret events, and innovative concepts such as SunSLAY SLAYOFFS

Known for combining professionalism with a strong sense of community, Imogen is dedicated to creating memorable live experiences that celebrate queer artistry, foster connection, and champion the incredible diversity of South Australia's drag scene.
