STILL is part of Vincy’s larger project reflecting on queer history and representation, particularly Hong Kong’s place in global culture making.
Recipient of Adelaide Festival Centre’s 2026 InSPACE x Feast Festival residency, this work is now in its final stage of development. These showings will enable the creative team to gain crucial feedback which will help inform the work’s eventual world premiere, planned for 2027.

About the presenter: Wan Vincy Chan
Vincy Chan is a multi-disciplinary artist from Hong Kong, currently based in Kaurna Yerta.
Vincy’s work is informed by their lived experience as a queer, first-generation migrant who has lived in Hong Kong and the US; as well as their experience in advocacy, creative arts and the non-profit sector. Using a variety of art forms and mediums such as songwriting, digital illustration, photography, their work is guided by the discourse around who has the right, responsibility and by extension, the power, to shape and archive narratives about marginalized communities.
The two-time recipient of the Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund (2024 and 2025) has participated in local artist programs such as Interplay (Nexus Arts, 2024) and Contemporary Asian Australian Performance Artist Lab (via OzAsia). They undertook Adelaide Festival Centre in April 2026 through the Feast x inSPACE program to further develop their one-person, multimedia performance STILL. They are also the recipient of Screen Australia's Emerging Gamemaker Fund in 2026.
