Now. Jasmine. Blurb:
Luna stands on a street corner, a simple piece of paper in hand. That single sheet holds her on the precipice of decisive change, on the edge of truly becoming herself. Now. Jasmine. is what happened.

This autobiography is the raw and honest tale of how Luna grew from someone shaped by gendered expectations into a proud transwoman she sculpted herself. Now. Jasmine. explores suburban school life at the turn of the millennium and through reaching transition milestones at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now. Jasmine. is a unique story from a trans South Australian. Luna takes readers through her challenges as if still in the moment, unguarded, and at times drifting into the brutal realities of life.

Features intermission articles written by Shane McNally.

About the presenter: Buon-Cattivi Press

Buon-Cattivi Press is a micro-publishing label based on Kaurna Country (Adelaide, South Australia). Since its inception in 2018, Buon-Cattivi Press has focussed its attention on publishing emerging and experimental voices. Its boutique approach allows for a more collaborative process with each new writer and text to produce a final product that realises the author’s intent behind their stories.

The label releases just one to two books a year, each published with a unique art piece as its cover. The majority of covers are the work of local artist Andrew Crooks, who styles the cover pieces to match the desires and qualities of both the author and the manuscript.

Buon-Cattivi Press has had the privilege of publishing debut novels, emerging creative researchers, and never-before-read essentials of Australian queer history. Our 2020 verse novella Dona Juanita and the Love of Boys by Gabrielle Everall was listed in the Australian Book Review’s Books of the Year.
