About the presenter: Adelaide Spectres & Adelaide 36ers

The Adelaide Spectres are part of Spectres Australia LGBTIQA+ Basketball Association. Our aim is to provide an inclusive space to help develop skills, build fitness, promote mental and physical health, engage with our community, and foster amazing relationships while playing basketball. Our club's motto is Respect, Friendship and Community.
We were founded under the banner of Sydney Spectres in 2001 with the first team participating in the 2002 Sydney Gay Games. Since then we’ve welcomed more people from all backgrounds who've wanted to reconnect with the community through playing basketball. Our mission is to provide a safe and fun space for members and friends of the LGBTIQA+ community to play basketball, fulfil their athletic aspirations and meet new friends within the community.
Adelaide Spectres run a weekly, free social Train & Play on Wednesdays 6.30-8pm at Annseley Junior School for anyone who is interested in getting back into basketball.

Feast Festival acknowledges that we gather, create and celebrate on the traditional lands of the Kaurna people.
We pay our respects to Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise First Nations peoples as the original storytellers, artists and custodians of this land.
We honour and respect queer First Nations communities, including Sistagirls and Brothaboys, and recognise the enduring connection between culture, identity, community and Country.
Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was, always will be Aboriginal Land.
