FEAST ON...

David Salter & Matthew Liersch Present

An Evening with Dame Granny Smith

Winner of Adelaide Fringe Overall Best Variety Award 2025, the world's most celebrated apple returns for an intimate on-stage interview with master ventriloquist, David Salter. Dame Smith (not to be confused for her tarty cousin Maggie!), is witty and larger than life, if perhaps a little senile in her old age. She even sings!

From her vaudeville debut at age five to her breakthrough role in Disney’s Snow White, Smith will take you on an incredible journey through her storied life and multi-decade career, all told with her trademark candour and wit.

Warm, funny, uplifting, absurd and a "show you'll remember for many years to come" (GLAM Adelaide ⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑).

"One of the funniest shows I've seen for years." - Alan Davies

"It's like if Norman Bates and Robin Williams had a lovechild, in the best way imaginable." - Theatre G

⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑ "This is the new breed of ventriloquist performers." - Such Cliché

⭑⭑⭑⭑⭑ "A lovely, lovely show! Sweet but with plenty bite, old but still sassy, hilarity and bittersweet poignancy." - Bruce on the Fringe
