The David Roche Foundation House Museum was opened in 2016 to display the decorative and fine art collection of David Roche AM (1930-2013). The museum, located in North Adelaide’s Melbourne Street, comprises David Roche’s former home, Fermoy House and a state-of-the-art museum wing designed by Adelaide firm Williams Burton Leopardi. The house museum displays over 3,500 works of art collected by David Roche during his lifetime, and is open for guided tours. The adjoining museum wing presents temporary displays and special exhibitions of decorative and fine arts. A diverse programme of lectures, concerts, and special events is presented annually.
Note: Limited free parking is available on-site. Disabled car parking is available. Travelling either in or out of the city, catch the Adelaide Metro bus (any of 202F, 206, 208, 271, 273) and leave the bus at Stop #3 on Melbourne Street. Then you have a 2 minute walk to the Foundation located on the south side of Melbourne Street.
