Werkroom: An Open House Event

Join us for an afternoon of creative arts as Carclew celebrates the 2023 Feast Festival!

‘Werk’ your way through a series of colourful workshops around Carclew House from Zine Making, Tote-bag Painting, and Photography, to Drag Performance, Music and Dance, as Carclew’s very own Queer Emerging Artists in Residence throw open the doors of Carclew House to lead you in fun skill-building art classes.

This event is a cosy opportunity for young creatives to learn new skills, practice art, make connections, and engage with the wider Adelaide Queer community in a safe and family friendly space.
Event Image Description A digital drawing of the Carclew House tower, painted in the rainbow colours of the LGBTQIA+ flag. Each level of the tower contains imagery representing a different arts workshop - painting, dancing & music, and photography. A rainbow emerges from behind the tower, whilst colourful confetti and splodged paint fill the background.

Chloe graduated from Flinders University/Adelaide College of the Arts in 2019 and has exhibited widely throughout South Australia. Chloe uses arts, and now producing, as a therapeutic outlet, drawing on their lived experiences of disability, chronic illness, neurodivergence, mental health and trauma.
