Crunch! A Weirdo Alt "Drag" Brunch

Feast your eyes on the most daring, quirky, and unashamedly queer "drag" brunch in town, Crunch!

This isn’t your mum’s drag brunch: expect alternative anarchy, gritty grunge and crazy creativity. Our performers will invite you to a world where norms are shattered and creativity knows no limits. Best of all, we’re serving more than just drag, with a wide range of boundary-pushing performance art on show! Dare to take a bite?

Our daring brunch will be catered by the fantastic Perryman’s Bakery, which will be providing a selection of freshly hot pies, pasties, biscuits and fresh fruit that'll have you salivating! You won’t go thirsty either, with My Lover Cindi’s extensive range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available to purchase through the whole event!

Tickets start from $40, with concession and First Nations tickets starting from $35. For catering reasons, tickets including brunch will only be available up until 12pm Tuesday the 7th of November, after which performance-only tickets will be made available. Dairy free, vegetarian, and gluten free options are available at no extra cost. A vegan option is also available for an extra $5.

Mega Drive Events is an entrepreneurial art collective focused on uplifting queer and neurodivergent artists on Kaurna Land.

Founded in 2021 by drag artist, musician and sound tech Jarvis "SAY GAH" Papillo, we create opportunities for local artists to explore their identity with full creative freedom. In every event we produce, we aim to make space for innovators who operate outside of the mainstream, and actively seek out artists who are pushing the boundaries of identity-defining performance art. Mega Drive runs a variety of regular shows including The Nursery, a beginner drag and DJ night that takes aspiring performers from concept to stage, and ZZZAP, a larger scale show featuring established artists with unique acts. We also put a spin on classic drag formats with Are You Drinking Comfortably, an adults-only drag Storytime, and our brand-new show Crunch, a "drag" brunch like you've never seen it before.

We work with a variety of venues within the City of Adelaide, including Arthur Art Bar, My Lover Cindi and Ancient World. Mega Drive Events is committed to supporting the local performing arts scene, promoting creativity and offering artists the freedom to be celebrated as their authentic selves.
